The University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer team started a road trip to the western part of the GLVC on Thursday in Kansas City, Mo. The Prairie Stars fell in their first match by a 2-0 margin at Rockhurst.

The game-winning goal by the Hawks was scored in the 22nd minute, and Rockhurst added an insurance goal early in the second half. UIS was outshot 17-12, including 8-6 in shots on goal.

Angela Dagnino had a team-high four shots, and Izabel Piña and
Abby Dellamorte each had two shots on goal.
Hailey Collins made six saves in goal.

UIS falls to 1-7-0 on the season. The Prairie Stars will be in action again on Saturday at Southwest Baptist.
