The University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team allowed its first goal of the season on Sunday afternoon at Kiwanis Stadium, and it proved to be a costly one. That was the only score of the game as the Prairie Stars fell to Southern Indiana by a 1-0 margin.

UIS outshot the Screaming Eagles 11-7, including 5-3 in shots on goal, and also had one more corner kick. Southern Indiana, though, made the most of its limited chances with a long pass forward in the 29th minute that a Screaming Eagle player was able to get and score in the left corner of the goal.

Javier Milla had two of UIS's five shots on goal, and
Luke Ridley also had two shots, including one on goal.
Pijus Petkevicius had two saves in goal.

UIS falls to 1-1-2 on the year. The Prairie Stars are in action again on Friday night at Indianapolis.
