The University of Illinois men's soccer program continued its shutout streak on Friday night at Kiwanis Stadium. The Prairie Stars recorded their third straight shutout in a 0-0 tie versus McKendree.
 
UIS had a slight advantage in the statistics in the game, including a 13-10 lead in shots and a 6-2 advantage in shots on goal.
 
Pijus Petkevicius had two saves in goal as his shutout streak extended to 310 minutes this season. The defense effort included 
Drew Keller, 
Terence Bynoe, and 
Brian Riordan playing all 110 minutes in the backfield. 
Lars Brinkman led the offense with five shots and three shots on goal.
 
UIS is now 1-0-2 on the year. The Prairie Stars return to action on Sunday with a 2:30 p.m. game against Southern Indiana.
