The University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis team won its third straight match on Sunday with a 5-2 home victory over Quincy.

UIS won all six competed matches on its home court, with Quincy's only points coming from default victories.

UIS had little trouble in five of the six matches.
Neha Mokhasi and
Sina Skjelstad won the No. 1 doubles match by a 6-3 score, and
Carol Quevedo and
Franca Bucco won No. 2 by a 6-1 score. Quevedo, Skjelstad, and Mokhasi each won their singles matches in straight sets.

The closest contest came at No. 3 singles where Bucco had to fight back after losing the first set. She won the second set in a tiebreaker. The deciding set was a single game to 10, and Bucco prevailed 10-8.

UIS ends its non-conference season with a 6-1 record. The Prairie Stars begin conference play next week with a Saturday home match against McKendree.
