The University of Illinois Springfield softball team lost twice to No. 11 Indianapolis on Saturday in Indianapolis, Ind. The Prairie Stars dropped the doubleheader by scores of 10-0 and 7-0.

Game one was scoreless after two innings, but the Greyhounds broke it open with nine runs in the third. In the second game, Indianapolis turned a 3-0 contest into its seven-run win with four runs in the sixth inning.

Jillian Mathis had the hits for UIS on the day.
Payton Long started the second game and allowed just one hit and one run in two innings, and she struck out two.

UIS moves to 9-17 on the season, and 4-6 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars will have another road doubleheader on Saturday at Lewis.
