The University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team collected a dominating 7-0 victory over Olivet Nazarene on Friday afternoon in Bourbonnais, Ill.

The Prairie Stars swept all nine matches that were played. They also lost just three or fewer games in each of the contests.

Ivan Esguerra made his collegiate debut and was victorious in both singles and doubles. He won the No. 5 singles match 6-2 and 6-1, and teamed up with
Philip Rydell to win No. 3 doubles by a 6-3 mark. Rydell was also victorious in his No. 6 singles match by a 6-0 and 6-1 margin.

Menno Servaes swept his two No. 1 matches. He did not lose a game in two singles sets, and won his doubles match alongside
Alex Chan by a 6-2 score.

Matthew Lapsley and
Nick Revin teamed up at No. 2 doubles and won 6-1. Lapsley dropped just three games in his No. 4 singles win, and Revin won 6-2 and 6-0 at No. 3 singles.

Rafa Rojas won had a 6-1 and 6-0 win at No. 2 singles.

The Prairie Stars are now 5-1 on the season. UIS will be back at home on Sunday afternoon against Quincy.
