The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball program fell twice in its final GLVC Triangular of the season on Saturday in St. Louis, Mo. The Prairie Stars were swept by No. 10 Missouri-St. Louis and William Jewell.
 
The Prairie Stars lost to the host school by scores of 25-17, 25-14, and 25-20.
 
Zanea Spencer led the defense with eight blocks. Amanda McConnell had 16 digs, and Hannah Nicolasisen was in double-figures with 10. Megan Krasowski had nine kills and just one hitting error to pace the offense. Becca Blakeley had a team-high 13 assists, and Madeline McGuire recorded two aces.
 
The final of the William Jewell contest was 25-23, 25-20, and 25-22.
 
Krasowski hit double-figures with 10 kills, and Nicolaisen had eight. Blakeley completed the day with 17 more assists. Kenzie Hendon had 17 digs, and McConnell and Regan Trueblood also had double-figure dig totals. Spencer had three more blocks against the Cardinals.
 
UIS falls to 3-11 on the season and 3-10 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars travel to McKendree next Saturday.
