Men's Soccer Takes League-Leading Defense To Quincy

The University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team has just one game this week when it travels to Quincy for a 2:30 p.m. game.
 
UIS has one loss in six games this year, and heads into the week with a 2-1-3 record. The program is tied for fifth in the league standings with nine points.
 
The Prairie Stars enter the week with a 0.30 GAA, which leads the league and is 11th in NCAA Division II.
 
Pijus Petkevicius has played every minute in goal, and has a 0.30 GAA and .909 save percentage. He has four shutouts in six contests, and has given up just one non-penalty kick goal. Offensively, Javier Milla, Brian Riordan, and Quentin Reese have a goal this season, with Reese's being the game-winner in overtime last Sunday against Lewis.

Quincy enters the week with a 3-3-0 record, and it is tied with UIS in the standings with nine points. The Hawks face Lewis on Friday before hosting UIS.
 
The Hawks have scored and allowed eight goals on the year. Last week, it fell twice to Southern Indiana and Indianapolis, both by 2-1 scores.
 
Aubrey Reis leads the offense with three goals, and Jack Rhead has two goals and one assist. Michele Barletta and Christos Kalaitzis have both seen time in goal, and both have a .667 save percentage.
