The University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer team heads to nationally-ranked Indianapolis on Friday, and then travels to Lewis on Sunday afternoon.

UIS starts this week with a 1-3-0 overall record. All four games have been decided by a 1-0 margin. Last weekend, the Prairie Stars had setbacks against McKendree and Southern Indiana.

The Prairie Stars are currently seventh in the GLVC with a 0.73 GAA, and they have only allowed 13 shots on goal this season.

Amanda Finnell ranks tenth in the conference with a 0.73 GAA, and she is seventh with 10 saves on the year.

Maria Herrero and Dana Youssef lead the team with one goal and one assist on the year. Sophia Saucerman has been goal for every minute this year. She had a .857 save percentage and a 0.67 GAA.

Meghan Vlcek sent the game into an extra period with a late goal, and UIS then won early in the second overtime period.

Lewis is still looking for win one of the season, after starting the year with a 0-3-1 mark. After tying Missouri-St. Louis in the opener, the Flyers have lost to McKendree, Southern Indiana, and Indianapolis.

Lewis enters play this week with a 1.42 GAA on the season. It is averaging 3.50 saves a game, which ranks fourth in the conference.

Abby Gustafson has taken six shots this season, including a team-high four shots on goal. Lucy Clark has played the most minutes in goal, making eight saves and having a 0.93 GAA.

Last season, UIS defeated Lewis by a 1-0 score in Romeoville. A penalty kick in the 29
th minute was the only goal of the game.
