Women's Tennis Goes 6-0 On The Court In Win Over Purdue Northwest

Box Score The University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis team won all six matches that were played on Saturday. That led the team to a 5-2 victory over Purdue Northwest.
 
UIS earned the doubles point despite forfeiting the No. 3 doubles match. Carole Quevedo and Franca Bucco won the No. 1 match by a 6-4 score, and Sina Skjelstad and Neha Mokhasi won No. 2 by a 6-2 margin.
 
In singles, Quevedo led the way by not losing a game in two sets. Skjelstad won 6-3 and 6-4 at No. 2, Bucco was a 6-4 and 6-2 winner at No. 3, and Mokhasi was a 7-5 and 6-2 winner at No. 4.
 
UIS is now 2-0 on the season. The Prairie Stars host Michigan Tech on Sunday, March 7, in the home opener for the team.
