Box Score The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team won its final game of 2020-21 on Saturday afternoon at TRAC. The Prairie Stars got good production from their bench and pulled away late for an 80-71 victory over Missouri S&T.

UIS trailed 37-33 at halftime, and fell in an eight-point hole early in the second-half. A 14-2 run though gave the Prairie Stars the lead for a bit. After seven lead changes in the final half, UIS pulled away with a 10-0 run midway through.
Jason Bergstrom sparked the run with a layup, and then made a three-pointer later in the spurt.

The Prairie Stars finished the game with 11 three-pointers, six more than Missouri S&T. They also made seven more foul shots. UIS had a one board advantage in rebounding, and four fewer turnovers.

UIS scored 37 points from bench players, including a career-high 19 from
Yamani Shareef. He was seven-of-10 from the field, including three-of-five from three-point range. He also had five rebounds and a steal.
Trey Marble had 13 points off the bench and seven assists. Those two players were a combined +31 plus/minus for the game.
Chase Robinson was the leading scorer with 20 in the game, and he had seven rebounds.

All four seniors playing their final game contributed to the win as well.
Keymonta Johnson had a career-high 15 rebounds, and had six assists.
Matt Wendling finished with 10 points.
Will Rucker started and had an assist and block, and
Collin Stallworth provided good defense in the final minute, including a big rebound as UIS was closing the game out.

UIS ends its 2020-21 season with an 8-12 overall record, including a 5-5 record at TRAC.
