Women's Basketball Looks To Secure Best Regular Season Since 1998-99 On Saturday

The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team ends the regular season at home on Saturday with a 1 p.m. game against Missouri S&T.

With a win, the Prairie Stars can clinch their best regular season winning percentage since 1998-99. UIS enters the game ranked ninth in the conference's Point Rating System, one place away from the final spot in the GLVC Tournament.

Missouri S&T will come to Springfield with a 3-17 overall record. The Miners lost their fifth straight game on Thursday with a 93-71 loss at Lewis.

Earlier this year, UIS won the first matchup in Rolla by a 72-61 score. UIS attempted 13 more field goals in the game after collecting 14 offensive rebounds and three fewer turnovers. Lauren Ladowski led UIS with 22 points, and Ellie Mitchell had a double-double.
