The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team starts its final week of the regular season with one of its toughest challenges of the season. The Prairie Stars will host No. 3 Drury on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at TRAC.

UIS enters the contest with a 10-9 overall record. The Prairie Stars moved above .500 with road wins last week against Rockhurst and Southwest Baptist.

Drury has won five straight since its lone loss of the season against Rockhurst. The Panthers defeated William Jewell on Thursday night by a 79-44 score.

Thursday's game has a lot of importance in terms of the GLVC Tournament. In the GLVC Point Rating System, which determines the playoff field and seedings, Drury is second, 0.04 points behind first. UIS is currently ninth, 0.03 points behind the final tournament spot.
