The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team faces it toughest challenge of the season on Thursday night when it hosts Truman State at 7 p.m. The Bulldogs currently lead the GLVC, and are ranked No. 6 in the NABC national poll.
UIS enters the game with a 7-8 overall record. The Prairie Stars lost at Quincy last Saturday by a 75-64 margin. UIS had an off-day shooting, making just 40 percent from the field.
Truman has won seven straight games and is 12-1 on the season. Last time out, the Bulldogs defeated Lewis by a 73-66 score.
Truman enters the game leading the GLVC by allowing 67.5 points a contest, and is second by scoring just under 80 a night. UIS ranks eighth in the league with a 72.5 scoring defense, and it is 11th by putting up 71.1 points a game.
