The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team has its final regular season non-conference game of the season on Thursday when the Prairie Stars host Culver-Stockton at TRAC.
UIS went into its Christmas break on a high note as it won its final two games. The latest win was a come-from-behind overtime victory over Purdue Northwest back on Dec. 19.
Culver-Stockton opened up its season with 10 straight victories, but it has lost three straight since that time. Its last loss was a 67-64 setback against Clarke.
UIS is currently 3-0 this season against non-Division II programs. It has defeated Eureka, Ohio Valley, and Hannibal-LaGrange by an average of 29.3 points per game. The Prairie Stars have not lost to a NCAA Division III or NAIA program since the 2012-13 season.
