The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team will look to go into its Christmas break on a two-game winning streak when it hosts Purdue Northwest on Sunday afternoon at TRAC.
The Prairie Stars enter Sunday's game following a 64-42 victory over Hannibal-LaGrange last weekend. That win improved the team's record to 3-6 on the season.
Purdue Northwest has also won three times this year, as it is currently 3-8 in 2021-22. The team has lost four straight games, all of them against conference opponents.
The first and only meeting between UIS and Purdue Northwest was a classic game in 2019-20. The contest had 12 ties and 22 lead changes before the Prairie Stars were finally able to pull away for a 97-85 overtime victory.
