The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team had its most complete game of the season in its final tuneup before GLVC play starts. The Prairie Stars downed Ohio Valley on Wednesday afternoon in Indianapolis, Ind. by a 94-57 score.

Offensively, UIS had a season-high in points, and also set season-best marks with a .540 field-goal percentage, .400 three-point field-goal percentage, and 12 made three-pointers.

The Prairie Stars were balanced on the offensive side of the ball. Six players recorded nine or more points, including all five starters.
Chase Robinson led the team with 16 points, one more than
Evan Altman.
Chris Hamil collected 13 points,
Jack Weber had 12, and
James Kelley and
Trey Marble each had nine. Marble and Hamil had three three-pointers apiece, including Marble being three-for-three. Weber was six-of-seven from the field.

Eight different players had two or more assists, including a team-high three for Kelley, Marble,
Jordan Rice, and
Yamani Shareef.

Defensively, UIS held Ohio Valley to just 37.3 percent shooting from the field, and 17.6 percent from three-point range. The Prairie Stars also forced 17 turnovers. Ohio Valley scored 13 points in the first five minutes of the game, but had just 15 for the final 15 minutes of the half. UIS then allowed just 14 points for the first 10 minutes of the second half, by which point the team had pulled away for the large victory.

Robinson had a team-high four steals, and
Jacob Hanna blocked two shots. Weber had eight total rebounds, including five on the defensive end.

UIS improves to 2-3 on the season. The Prairie Stars start GLVC action on Monday evening at TRAC when they host McKendree in a 7:30 p.m. game.
