The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team has its home opener on Thursday night at TRAC. The Prairie Stars will take on Eureka at 7:30 p.m.
UIS dropped both of its games last weekend at the Lindenwood Tipoff Classic. The Prairie Stars fell to Kentucky Wesleyan by an 84-76 score. Parkside then defeated UIS by a 92-79 margin.
Eureka is 1-2 prior to a Wednesday night game against Knox. The Red Devils are scoring 75 points a game, but allowing over 80.
UIS is 1-0 all-time against Eureka, with a 95-52 win during the 2010-11 season.Â
The Prairie Stars have never lost a home opener, going 19-0 throughout their history. Last season, UIS earned an 89-82 victory over Quincy in the first game of the season at TRAC.
