On Senior Day for the University of Illinois Springfield volleyball program, the five Prairie Stars who were honored before the match led the team to a 3-0 sweep over Southwest Baptist. The Prairie Stars won by scores of 25-17, 28-26, and 25-8.

Five UIS players were playing their final Saturday contest at TRAC, and
Brianna Bush,
Ryleigh Warfel,
Hannah Nicolaisen,
Megan Krasowski, and
Becca Blakeley all had good matches for the Prairie Stars. The seniors combined for all of the team's 41 kills in the match, and also combined for 20 digs, 3.5 blocks, and three service aces.

Nicolaisen and Krasowski both led the team with 11 kills, followed by Bush and Wafel with eight kills apiece. Blakeley directed the offense and had 36 assists in 72 attempts, and she also had three kills. Bush hit .583 for the match, Krasowski had a .421 hitting percentage, and Nicolaisen hit .391. Nicolaisen had 10 digs, and Bush and Warfel led the team with three blocks.

Emma Konie leading the squad with three service aces.

UIS improves to 10-13 overall and 6-6 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars end their home season on Tuesday night with a 7 p.m. contest against nationally-ranked Lewis.
