The University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team looks to stay near the top of the GLVC standings after two road contests in Missouri this week. The Prairie Stars will travel to William Jewell on Friday, followed by a trip to Truman State on Sunday.

UIS remains second in the GLVC according to teams' points per game totals. The Prairie Stars are averaging 2.29 points per game, just ahead of Maryville, Drury, and McKendree. Indianapolis currently leads the league with 2.71 points per game.

Overall on the season, UIS is currently 6-3-1, including a 5-1-1 record in GLVC games. In those seven conference contests, the Prairie Stars have allowed just five goals, and have a 0.69 GAA. Last time out, UIS tied Quincy by a 1-1 margin, despite outshooting the Hawks by a 25-11 margin.

Lars Brinkman is the top goal scorer with four.
Pijus Petkevicius has played every minute in goal this season. He needs just three saves to surpass 200 for his career.
