On Saturday, the University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team will look for its first season sweep over Lewis since the 2009-10 campaign. The game will be in Romeoville, Ill. at 1 p.m.
Earlier this season, the Prairie Stars defeated the Flyers at TRAC by a 69-54 margin. UIS shot 60.5 percent from the field in the game, and outrebounded Lewis by a 30-15 margin. UIS also had a big advantage from three-point range, making 11 shots and allowing just two.
UIS is looking to snap a two-game skid after falling to Indianapolis by a 55-43 score on Thursday night. The Prairie Stars had an off-night shooting against the Greyhounds.
Lewis has lost four straight games starting with that loss to UIS. Last time out, the Flyers lost to Indianapolis, 78-68.
