The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team starts a road trip this Thursday with a 7:30 p.m. (eastern) game at Indianapolis.
The Prairie Stars enter the game with a 6-6 overall record. UIS is looking to break a trend in which it has lost three out of its last four games. That included an 88-69 loss against Southern Indiana on Saturday.
Indianapolis is 3-8 on the year, but has won two straight games. The Greyhounds defeated Lewis on Saturday by a 78-68 margin.
Last week, the Greyhounds barely edged UIS by a 75-74 score. A late rally by the Prairie Stars came up short when a potential game-winning shot was just off the mark. UIS shot 60 percent from the field, but Indianapolis made nine three-pointers and had nine fewer turnovers.
