The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team ends its three-game homestand on Saturday afternoon against nationally-ranked Southern Indiana. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. at TRAC.
UIS picked up a 68-58 victory over McKendree on Thursday night. The Prairie Stars allowed just 25 points in the second half, and hit a season-high from three-point range.
Southern Indiana is 2-0 since its Christmas break, including a 64-59 win on Thursday at Lewis.
Back on Dec. 3, Southern Indiana defeated UIS by a 63-49 score in Evansville. The Prairie Stars struggled offensively in the first half, but outscored the Screaming Eagles in the final 20 minutes.
Malea Jackson and
Lauren Ladowski combined for 36 of UIS's points in the contest.
