The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team starts the second half of its season this Saturday when it hosts Southern Indiana in a 3:30 p.m. game at TRAC.
UIS went 6-5 over its first 11 games, including a 76-53 win over McKendree on Thursday night. The Prairie Stars held the Bearcats to just 53 points, the fewest they have given up this year.
Southern Indiana enters the game with a 6-3 record. It has won two straight games, with the latest being a 74-65 win at Lewis on Thursday.
