Women's Basketball Continues Important Stretch At Missouri-St. Louis On Saturday

The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team continues an important stretch in its schedule on Saturday when it travels to Missouri-St. Louis for a 1 p.m. game.

UIS, which is playing its third straight game against a top-five team in the GLVC, picked up its biggest win of the season on Thursday night with a 63-62 victory on the road at Lewis. The victory improved the Prairie Stars to 4-3 on the year.

Missouri-St. Louis is currently 6-3 on the season. It has won two straight, including a 77-68 victory over Southwest Baptist last Tuesday.

Both UIS and Missouri-St. Louis are averaging over 14 offensive rebounds a game. The Tritons are second in the GLVC with a +8.7 rebounding margin, while UIS is fourth with a +6.1 mark.
