Two of the hottest teams in the GLVC will meet this Saturday in St. Louis, Mo. when the University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team travels to Missouri-St. Louis for a 3:30 p.m. game.
UIS, which is now 5-3 overall, comes into Saturday's contest on a three-game winning streak. The Prairie Stars extended that streak on Thursday night with an 82-76 victory over Lindenwood.
Missouri-St. Louis, which is 7-2 on the year, has won each of its last four games. The Tritons captured a 69-64 victory on the road at Lewis on Thursday.
UIS's offense has been hot lately, and the Prairie Stars are now fourth in the league in field-goal percentage and three-point percentage. That offense will be going against a Tritons' defense which is allowing 68.2 points a game, which is second in the league.
