The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team faces its toughest challenge of the season on Saturday in Springfield, Mo. The Prairie Stars will go against the No. 1 team in NCAA Division II, Drury, at 1 p.m.
UIS played its fourth overtime game of the year on Thursday at Southwest Baptist. The Prairie Stars scored a season-high 83 points in the game, but lost by two.
Drury is perfect on the year, and has won 42 straight GLVC contests. The latest win came over Lewis on Thursday by a 114-63 margin.
In league games this season, UIS is fourth with a +1.23 turnover margin. That will be tested against a Drury team that leads the nation by forcing nearly 30 turnovers a game, having 16.7 steals a contest, and with a +13.7 turnover margin.
