The University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team improved to 5-1 on the year after defeating Lake Superior State by a 5-2 score in Springfield, Ill.
 
UIS's top two doubles teams of 
Menno Servaes and 
Tomas Martinez, and 
Alex Chan and 
Oscar Toro both won for the doubles point. The two doubles team lost a combined just three games.
 
Servaes, Martinez, and Toro also won their singles matches. Servaes and Martinez had victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, in straight sets. Toro fought back after losing his second set for a 6-1 win in the third set at No. 4 singles. 
Rafa Rojas was also victorious on the day at No. 5 singles.
 
UIS will be in action again next Saturday at William Woods.
