The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team could not pull off one more win this season over a ranked opponent on Saturday in St. Louis, Mo. The Prairie Stars fell in their final game of the season with an 86-79 loss at No. 18 Missouri-St. Louis.

UIS started out slow and trailed by as many as 22 points in the second half. The Prairie Stars caught fire from three-point range in the second half, making 12-of-22 from behind the arc in the final 20 minutes. The 11th three-pointer came with 33 seconds left and pulled the Prairie Stars within four at 78-74. Missouri-St. Louis made eight-of-10 free throws in the final 25 seconds to seal the victory.

UIS finished the game with 18 three-pointers, and shot 41.9 percent from three-point range. Missouri-St. Louis outrebounded the Prairie Stars by 10, and shot 48 percent from the field.

Chase Robinson ended his freshman season with one of his top games. He made all six field goals from inside the arc, and four-of-six from behind it, and finished with 27 points. In his final game at UIS,
Daniel Soetan just missed a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds.
Jesus Castillo made five three-pointers and finished with 15 points.
Keymonta Johnson had three blocks and three steals in the contest.

UIS ends the season with a 14-14 overall record, and a 7-13 GLVC mark.
