Women's Basketball Looks For Season Sweep Over Missouri-St. Louis

The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team concludes its season on Saturday afternoon at Missouri-St. Louis. The game has importance in terms of the GLVC Tournament with the Tritons just one spot out of qualifying for the conference postseason event.

The Prairie Stars fell on the road on Thursday night with an 82-62 loss at Lindenwood.

Missouri-St. Louis is 8-2 since losing to UIS earlier this year, including a 71-58 victory over Lewis on Thursday night.

In the first meeting between the two teams,  the Prairie Stars held Missouri-St. Louis to just 27 percent shooting from the field. UIS also won the rebounding battle by a 46-37 margin. Lauren Ladowski led UIS with 19 points and nine rebounds, and Tehya Fortune had 11 points.
