The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team will conclude its home schedule on Thursday night when it hosts Southern Indiana in a 7:30 p.m. game.
The Prairie Stars have won five straight at TRAC. The last victory was an 82-79 win on Saturday, with
Matt Wendling hitting the game-winning three-pointer with 0.3 seconds remaining against Maryville.
Southern Indiana has gotten back in the GLVC race with five straight victories. Last time out, it earned a 67-66 win over nationally-ranked Missouri-St. Louis.
Thursday's battle will feature the league's top three-point shooting team, against the top three-point defensive team. UIS averages over 12 three-pointers a game, while Southern Indiana is holding teams to just 32.2 percent from behind the arc.
