The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team will celebrate Senior Day on Saturday at TRAC. This year's seven seniors will be honored in a ceremony after the team's 1 p.m. game against Maryville.
UIS is coming into the game on a high note after an 83-76 victory over Missouri S&T on Thursday. The Prairie Stars scored 35 points in the fourth quarter for the come-from-behind win.
Maryville has won two straight games. On Thursday, it defeated Lewis on the road by a 76-73 margin.
UIS will likely have to slow down one of nation's top scorers in order to pick up a second straight win. Maryville's Mary Barton leads the league with 23.6 points a game, including over three three-pointers a contest.
