The UIS men's tennis team opened up the 2020 spring season with an exciting 4-3 road win over Davenport.

After dropping the doubles point, UIS captured four of the six singles matches for the win. Both of the victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles came in a third set.
Menno Servaes, at No. 1, forced a third set with a 7-6 win in the second set, and he then won the final set by a 6-2 score.
Tomas Martinez won the first and third sets in his victory at the No. 2 spot.

The other two singles wins came at No. 5 and No. 6. Freshman
Rafa Rojas won his match by scores of 6-1 and 6-3, and
Oscar Toro had a 6-2 and 6-3 victory.

UIS won the No. 3 doubles match when Toro and
Alex Chan won a tiebreaker by a 7-4 score.

The Prairie Stars are now 4-0 on the season. UIS will be back in action on Saturday against Grand Valley State.
