The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team starts its final homestand of the year on Thursday night. The Prairie Stars will host Missouri S&T at 5:30 p.m. in the first of three games at TRAC to conclude their 2019-20 home schedule.

Both the Prairie Stars and Miners are looking to snap losing streaks on Thursday. UIS has lost five straight, including a setback at No. 1 Drury last Saturday. Missouri S&T has dropped six consecutive games, including a 79-70 loss against Southern Indiana last Saturday.

The Prairie Stars will look to stop a Missouri S&T offense that is fifth in the league with 73.3 points a game, and first with a .379 three-point percentage. UIS is holding teams to just over 40 percent shooting from the field, and 32.8 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
