UIS will hold a Celebration of 25 Years of Women's Basketball during its streaming broadcast on Saturday afternoon
 

The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team returns home on Saturday for a 1 p.m. game against Maryville. 

UIS is 1-1 on the year after falling to Southern Indiana on Thursday night by a 63-49 score. The Prairie Stars opened up the year with a one-point win over Quincy. 

Maryville is currently 2-0 with wins over Missouri S&T and Lindenwood. The Saints are outscoring opponents by 12 points a game.

Last season, UIS had its highest scoring game of the season against Maryville. The Prairie Stars put up 85 and defeated the Saints by five points.
