The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team continues its tough schedule to start the GLVC season this Saturday with a trip to Indianapolis for a 3 p.m. game (eastern). The Greyhounds are ranked No. 11 in the NABC national poll, and No. 14 in the D2SIDA ranking.
UIS is 0-2 in conference play after losses to last year's regular season champion and the current No. 1 team in NCAA Division II. On Thursday, the Prairie Stars fell to Bellarmine by an 81-57 score.
Indianapolis picked up its first GLVC win of the year on Thursday with an 82-67 victory over Lewis. Its only loss is a two-point setback against Bellarmine.
Both teams come into the matchup averaging over 82 points a game, and both programs are allowing over 70 points a contest.
