The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team begins the second half of its GLVC season this Thursday. The Prairie Stars will be at home at 5:30 p.m. for a contest against Bellarmine.

UIS is looking for some breakthrough wins over its last 10 games. The Prairie Stars have been competitive in league play, with every loss but one being by 11 points or less. That includes a 70-59 setback against Lindenwood last Saturday.

Bellarmine has lost three of its last four games, including an 82-74 loss on Saturday against No. 1 Drury.

Earlier this season, Bellarmine defeated UIS by a 58-42 score in Louisville, Ky. Both teams struggled shooting, but the Knights had 15 fewer turnovers and six more rebounds in the game.
