The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team has a special holiday game on Monday night at TRAC, starting at 5:30 p.m. The Prairie Stars will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a home contest against Lewis.

For the second time in five days, UIS will face a team that is tied for first in the GLVC. Last Thursday, the Prairie Stars gave Truman State a scare before falling by six. UIS also fell on the road last week to Quincy.

Lewis comes to Springfield with a perfect 7-0 GLVC record, including a one-point win over Truman last Saturday in a showdown of unbeaten league programs.

Earlier this year at Lewis, the Prairie Stars fell by a 75-66 score. The Flyers shot 56.9 percent from the field in that game.
