Box Score The University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team fell to Missouri S&T on Friday night in Rolla, Mo. The Miners scored in the 51st minute for the game's only goal as the Prairie Stars fell by a 1-0 margin.
 
UIS was outshot 15-4 in the game, including a 9-0 mark in shots on goal. Pijus Petkevicius kept the Prairie Stars in the game by making eight saves. Dan Mahony had two of the team's four shots.
 
Missouri S&T got the game's only goal after a long kick by the Miners' goalie. The kick got past the UIS defenders, and Missouri S&T's Bertram Gjelfort was able to track it down and get the ball past Petkevicius.
 
UIS falls to 3-3-1 on the season, and 1-2-1 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars are back in action on Sunday at No. 6 Maryville.
