Missouri S&T got the game's only goal after a long kick by the Miners' goalie. The kick got past the UIS defenders, and Missouri S&T's Bertram Gjelfort was able to track it down and get the ball past Petkevicius.

UIS falls to 3-3-1 on the season, and 1-2-1 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars are back in action on Sunday at No. 6 Maryville.
