The University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team is unbeaten in four out of its last five games, and looks to continue its hot streak in a pair of road tilts this week. The Prairie Stars face Missouri S&T on Friday, and then travels to nationally-ranked Maryville on Sunday.
 
UIS (3-2-1, 1-1-1)
UIS enters the week with a 3-2-1 record, and a 1-1-1 mark in GLVC action. Last week, UIS tied Lindenwood by a 1-1 margin, and then earned its first conference win of the year with a 1-0 victory at Missouri S&T.

Missouri S&T enters play this week with a 2-3-0 overall record, and it is 1-2-0 in GLVC action. Last week, the Miners earned a 4-2 win over Southwest Baptist, and then fell 4-3 at Drury.
 
Missouri S&T is among the league's offensive leaders with 2.20 goals a game, but it is also 14th by having a 2.57 GAA average. Shane Cairns and Trey Haman have each scored twice, and Nick Posey is the team's top goalie with a 2.65 GAA and a .409 save percentage.

The Saints lead the GLVC with 2.83 goals a game, and it is second in the conference with a 0.50 GAA. Braden Johnson leads the team with four goals and 10 points. Liam Walraven has a 0.52 GAA and a .700 save percentage in goal.

UIS leads the all-time series against Maryville by a 7-3-2 margin, including a 5-3-2 record since both teams were in the GLVC. In St. Louis, the Prairie Stars have a 4-1-0 all-time mark. Last season, UIS won 1-0 in Springfield, Ill.
