UIS Women's Soccer Hosts Lindenwood On Friday in GLVC Home Opener

The University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer team has two games this weekend. On Friday, the Prairie Stars have their home conference opener when they take on Lindenwood at 5:00 p.m. The squad then starts a three-game road trip on Sunday by travelling to Missouri-St. Louis for a noon showdown.
 
UIS (2-1-0, 1-0-0)
UIS has won two straight games, including a 1-0 win over Lewis in the team's conference opener. It was the third time in the last four years that the Prairie Stars have opened up the GLVC season with a victory.
 
UIS currently ranks sixth in the GLVC by scoring 1.67 goals a game, and it is 11th with a 1.33 GAA.
 
Maggie Juhlin enters play this week tied for the GLVC lead with three goals. Juhlin and Erin Bolskar have the team's two game-winning goals this season. Bailey Cross recorded the first shutout of her career against Lewis, and now has a 1.33 GAA and a .778 save percentage for the season.
