The University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team has its home conference opener this Friday when it hosts GLVC newcomer Lindenwood at 7:30 p.m. The Prairie Stars will also face Missouri-St. Louis in St. Louis, Mo. on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

UIS is 2-2-0 overall on the season. The Prairie Stars lost their GLVC opener last Sunday by a 2-0 score at Lewis. UIS outshot the Flyers by a 12-7 margin, and had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks, but it couldn't get a shot past the Lewis goalkeeper.
