The University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team dropped a GLVC road match on Wednesday at Lewis. The Prairie Stars fell by a 6-1 margin.
Â
The No. 4 through No. 6 singles matches were all competitive, with each going to a third-set tiebreaker.
Alex Chan at No. 4 won his tiebreaker by a 10-8 margin. That capped a comeback win where, after losing the first set, he won a second-set tiebreaker, and then captured the match tiebreaker.
Â
Oscar Toro and
Matthew Lapsley both forced a third-set tiebreaker, but fell just shy of getting a win. UIS also fell in the other three singles matches, and in all three doubles competitions.
Â
UIS falls to 12-4 on the year. The Prairie Stars end the regular season on Saturday at Bellarmine.
