The University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team lost just two matches on Saturday during a 6-1 victory over Purdue Northwest.

UIS won two of the three doubles matches.
Sam Clarke and
Tommy Martinez won by a 6-0 shutout at No. 1.
Logan Burgess Hayes and
Matthew Lapsley won by a score of 6-3 at No. 2 doubles to clinch the doubles point for the Prairie Stars.

In singles, UIS won five of the six matches.
Oscar Toro had the biggest win with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 6. Clarke (No. 1), Burgess Hayes (No. 3),
Alex Chan (No. 4), and Lapsley (No. 5) were also winners.

UIS is now 6-2 on the season. The Prairie Stars will be in action again on March 11 when the team begins their spring break trip to Hilton Head Island, S.C.
