The University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team swept Michigan Tech on Monday to start its Spring Break trip with a victory.

In doubles play, the three UIS teams lost just four games.
Sam Clarke and
Tommy Martinez won 6-1 at No. 1,
Logan Burgess Hayes and
Menno Servaes took the No. 2 match by a 6-2 margin, and
Alex Chan and
Oscar Toro won No. 3 doubles by a 6-1 score.

In singles play, UIS didn't lose a single set. Martinez had the top performance with a 6-0, 6-0 win at the No. 2 slot. Clarke extended his winning streak to 16 with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles. Other singles winners were Burgess Hayes, Chan, Toro, and
Matthew Lapsley.

UIS improves to 7-2 on the season. The Prairie Stars continue their stay in Hilton Head Island, S.C. on Tuesday versus Chowan.
