The University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team won its fifth straight match on Thursday in Hilton Head Island, S.C. The Prairie Stars defeated Charleston by a 5-2 margin.

UIS won two of the three doubles matches for the doubles point.
Menno Servaes and
Logan Burgess Hayes were victorious 6-3 at No. 2, and
Oscar Toro and
Alex Chan shut out their No. 3 opponents.

In singles, the Prairie Stars won four of the six matches to complete their victory.
Sam Clarke won his 13th straight singles match, as he dropped just three games at No. 1 singles. Other winners were Servaes at No. 3, Chan at No. 5, and Toro at No. 6.

UIS improves to 9-2 on the season, including a perfect 3-0 mark on its Spring Break trip. The Prairie Stars are in action again on March 22 at Quincy.
