The University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis team won the top two singles matches against Hillsdale, but could not pick up any more team points in a 5-2 road loss on Friday.

Neha Mokhasi earned a close victory at No. 1 singles. After a narrow 7-5 win in the first set, she lost 6-0 in set two. In the deciding third set, she went into a tiebreaker which she won 7-1.

At No. 2 singles,
Ashley Long won in straight sets, taking both sets by a 6-3 margin. Long and Mokhasi nearly pulled off a victory at No. 1 doubles, before falling in the tiebreaker.

UIS falls to 5-2 on the season. The Prairie Stars are in action tomorrow at Purdue Northwest.
