The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team starts an important five-game homestand on Thursday at Rockhurst.

UIS currently ranks eighth in the GLVC Point Rating System with a 2.70 rating, while Rockhurst is 12th with a 2.33 rating.

Last season, UIS put together a come-from-behind victory over Rockhurst by a 68-63 score. Destiny Ramsey contributed 22 points while Shelbi Patterson provided 18 points. Katelyn Rosner pulled down 11 rebounds.

Last Saturday, UIS earned a 68-65 victory over Indianpolis, while Rockhurst fell to Maryville by a 72-64 margin.
