The University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis team fell for the first time this season with a 7-0 setback against Rockhurst on Sunday in Liberty, Mo.
The match was much closer than the final score indicated, especially in singles play. At No. 3 singles,
Maegan Flight went into a third-set tiebreaker before falling 8-6.
Steph Reynolds, at No. 6 singles, split her two sets before falling 10-7 in the tiebreaker.
Neha Mokhasi took her No. 1 singles opponent to two tough sets, falling 7-5 in each one.
UIS will be in action again next Friday at Hillsdale.
