The University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team defeated William Jewell on the road on Saturday. The Prairie Stars won by a 5-2 score.
UIS swept all three doubles matches in the contest.
Sam Clarke and
Tommy Martinez won 6-4 at No. 1 singles.
Alex Chan and
Matthew Lapsley captured the No. 2 position by a 7-5 margin.
Logan Burgess Hayes and
Oscar Toro had a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles.

In singles action, UIS got a win at No. 1 with Clarke winning 6-2, 6-2. The Prairie Stars also won No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 singles. Chan won No. 4 by scores of 6-2, 6-1. Lapsley was a 7-5, 6-1 winner at No. 5. At the final singles position, Toro won by margins of 6-2, 6-3.

UIS improved to 4-1 in duals on the season. The Prairie Stars will be in action again on Sunday at Rockhurst.
